Kimberly was born in the islands of the Azores to American parents, and raised in Louisiana and Texas. At the age of fifteen she picked up a camera and thus began her love of photography. Her professional career began in 1989 in Los Angeles, when she was invited to shoot stills for a small project for director David Lynch, eventually working with him on Twin Peaks and Wild at Heart. She enjoyed a successful stint of several years in the film business, doing publicity photography for films and actors in all genres of entertainment. She left her career in the year 2000, feeling called that Hollywood was not the correct place for her to be, only returning a couple of times later to work on small projects. She eventually put her photography career aside to focus on being a mother to her son who was born in late 2001. This website is a brief overview of her career, and includes some of her favorite photos from her time in the film industry, personal photos, and portraits that span her career.
Kimberly’s photographs have been published in countless magazines and publications worldwide including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Premiere, Dwell, and Elle, to name just a few. Over the years she has maintained a list of clientele around the world and her photographs are held in many private collections. After years of living in various places including Los Angeles, New York, and Berlin, Kimberly moved back home to Texas in 2009 to be near family. She now lives in the beautiful Texas hill country just outside of Austin, with her husband Richard and their two cats.
